For many years Dr. Akasheh, Director of Cultech, has been organizing the International Conference on Science and Technology in Archaeology and Conservation. This is a multidisciplinary forum that includes all types of sessions including Archaeology and Tourism. This has the advantage of providing the opportunity for interaction and dialogue between many disciplines that deal with Cultural Heritage from different points of view. The first four conferences were held in Amman, Zarqa, the Dead Sea, and Petra in Jordan. The Fifth was held in Baeza Spain in collaboration with the Legado Andalusi , while the Sixth was held in Rome in collaboration with WATCH. Many Institutions have collaborated to make this event a success. This includes the Royal Palace of Jordan. UNWTO, The Department of Antiquities, The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, UNESCO. ICCROM, Queen Rania's Institute of Tourism and Heritage at The Hashemite University, The local authorities in Baeza and Jaen of Spain, The Greater Amman Municipality. and many other institutions.
